Hey mama, Happy Monday!
It’s that time of year again!
After spending the past few weeks and weekends shlepping the boys to and from the fields, I thought this would be a fantastic time to share some of the little tidbits I’ve learned through the years. This year both boys are playing on different teams which means to sets of practice and games schedules to juggle, and 5 out of 7 days a week at the fields for the next 3 months. Hopefully, this will help you maintain a little sanity during this fun but CRAZY time of year!

Tip #1
Fail to plan, plan to fail! I am talking about a whole lotta long afternoon/evenings and some very hungry children. Especially since we usually go straight from school to baseball. I need to make sure I having everything the kiddos need: Baseball bags, water, practice clothes, and snacks. I lug around all of their shit, minus their baseball bags in this basket:

Food-wise, unless you wanna spend all your money on takeout you’re gonna need to think ahead about easy weeknight Insta Pot or Crockpot dinners.
Tip #2
Did I mention the shit ton of additional laundry that is coming your way? Yay! Said no mom ever! So on top of the normal pile, now you have stinky grass-stained uniforms too. These are some of my absolute essentials to getting those grass stains out of their uniforms! This Lirio bar is life! And the stink! Get the Oxi Clean, you will thank me later!

Tip # 3
You will spend countless hours at practices and games, and let me tell ya, your ass will get sore and your phone will die when you aren’t glued to all the action! That was a little joke. Children’s baseball can be VERY slow! I use a cushion like this one:

Tip #4
A go with the flow attitude is essential. Nothing usually goes to plan, and as a mom of a non-neurotypical boy, there will inevitably be some meltdowns and setbacks. I make sure to constantly check in on where he is at and if his “Tank” as we call it is getting low. Also, you are going to be hit with a lot of surprise practices, being put on the spot for playdates after games, and endless requests for snack shack money!
Tip #5
Lastly, have fun for God’s sake! This is all supposed to be fun. For you, and your kiddos. When it stops getting fun, remind yourself that this season of life will pass in the blink of an eye. I promise you will be wishing for these days back so try to cherish them!!!!

I hope this is helpful! What are your best baseball tips? Play ball!
Be Bold! XO
